My Project
My specialized classroom is designed for students in grades K/1/2 who all carry a diagnosis of autism. The specialized classroom is within a large, inner city. Many of my students come from low income households and more than half of my students are English language learners. For these students, food can often be an issue due to lack of it, or issues around color, texture or taste. My project is to make sure I always have a variety of snacks in my classroom for students to choose from; like Goldfish crackers, Pirate's Booty, and Nutella with breadsticks as well as muffins for breakfast and Oreos for snack time. Making sure I can provide a choice for my picky students can make all the difference. Thank you for considering supporting this project. Together we can make sure there are no more rumblies in our tummies.
