This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is all about my littles in preschool. For a majority of my students, this is their first time in school. When COVID first hit, they were 1-2 years old. When they turned three, school looked different and parents were still keeping them home or was unsure of how to do preschool online. Play dates were harder to plan while considering the safety of others. This school year, I wanted them to experience that school is safe and fun.
They love to explore and see what they can create with the different materials we have in the classroom.
My preschoolers love to play and do really well with the materials that we have. A lot of the toys in our classroom are older and are missing some pieces. In this project I have added new floor puzzles so we can replace the ones that we have. As we all know, their young minds learn while play so I have added new learning manipulatives that we can use during their free choice time. I also have added some literacy/math box sets that we can use in small groups.
