Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I will be teaching Kindergarten in a Title I school on the Northwest side of Chicago. One of my strongest passions being a primary teacher is providing my students with a love of learning that will last their entire lifetime. I want to create a warm and inviting environment so students can succeed in an ideal setting.

My Project

This year I will be welcoming a group of kindergarten students to my class. For many this will be their first time in school due to the pandemic. This will also by my first year as a kindergarten teacher. I am excited to create an environment that will be engaging for my young students. However, my new classroom has tables not desks. Students will need a place to store all their supplies that we will be using this school year. The seat organization pockets will hold my students crayons, scissors, pencils, whiteboards, folders and notebooks.
