This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We will be kicking off a brand new year in a brand new school, so while we don't have an exact picture of our incoming students, we know they will be representative of Baytown - diverse in many ways: racially, financially, behaviorally.

We want to be an innovative school that meets our students needs in new and exciting ways.

My Project

We want to give our students a brand new way to engage in the classroom! Our students will participate in ways they never have before and pass the Science STAAR with flying colors! We will totally replace our classroom chairs with these stability balls, which will allow the students to move while maintaining focus on the lesson at hand. Research has shown stability balls to be very effective in the classroom.

Much of our school's budget for the 2014-2015 school year will go towards purchasing the basic materials for our brand new school.

These donations will enable us to kick off the year in an exciting new way that will impact our students' lives.
