This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a diverse group of students. Our school is a Title 1 school which means the majority of our students are considered to come from low income families. We live in Fort Lauderdale,Florida. The thing I love most about my students is that they never giver up! My students are eager to learn and let their light shine in their community!

My Project

I want to provide students with interesting current reading material. These days kids have their faces stuck in a phone or computer all the time! This is a great way for students to have fun reading. Please help me give my students a magazine subscription to Scholastic News! This will include the paper version as well as Digital so they can submit the questions and answers online at home or in school!

I remember when I would go to class and see the newest issue of Scholastic News I was instantly excited!

I want my students to feel the same excitement.
