Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, we have students with medical needs. These needs require the students to monitor their carbohydrate intake. Unfortunately, these students are also extremely picky eaters. This often means the students are not satisfied with the food options provided by our cafeteria and struggle to meet their medical needs. By offering these students some high-interest snacks to pair with healthy school options, we hope to help eliminate student hunger as well as teach them healthy food pairings. Our goal is to teach the students how to enjoy a healthy treat and a pair it with a snack that they also enjoy. The snacks and wipes requested in this project will directly impact the care and address student hunger.

Help me give my students access to snacks that will help keep their blood sugar in balance.

The wipes and cleaning materials will help to ensure that our students have a healthy and clean environment.
