Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our magnet school emphasizes the respect of self and others. Our pedagogy includes discipline and high expectations, as well as activism and compassion. About 60% of our students are African-American, alongside Latino and Asian children. This mix offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and teamwork, while discovering new perspectives.
The kids know they will be agents of change and follow our school motto, "Be the change you want to see in the world." However, our school and our families can't afford the resources we need to support academic knowledge and significantly improve student achievement.
My Project
We were delighted to receive our new printer!!! But now we need ink and the school office just gave me back my order with a post it on it saying "No funds, sorry!"
Ink is a crucial supply that students need to print any of their work: letters, reports, poems, etc... Like any office in the world, we need ink to print documents to create our portfolio.
Your generous donation would definitely save the day because, right now, we are stuck in front of a sleeping printer...
