Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Despite the fact that my students attend a multi-decades old, rural school, they come every day awaiting a new adventure. They are full of energy, full of love, and have a desire to succeed and be a part of a team.

My golf students deserve access to the basic equipment necessary for effective practices and for team matches.

They need your support. They deserve the same supplies and experiences that their peers in other areas receive. They deserve my very best every day. They deserve a place to grow, a place to learn, and projects designed to help them find success. Sports have the potential to do this for them.

My Project

Imagine playing golf with only a few golf balls or a few tees. Imagine an entire team practicing or playing in the same situation. Now, imagine a team with only two returning varsity members, three who have never played on a golf team, and two more who have never played at all. Seems impossible, right? Not with your help!

Despite the fact that we are a young team with little experience, we deserve enough equipment for all team members to be successful.

An ample supply of practice balls will ensure that each member has access to as many balls as he/she needs to get adequate practice. Having new golf balls for each match is an essential part of the game. A team set of golf towels in school colors will help promote team spirit and provide a sense of unity.
