My Project

My students have chosen to come to an alternative school to get a different approach to their education. They often ask me to turn off the lights and open up the blinds because the fluorescent lights, as they say, "mess with my mind." As we enter fall and winter here in the Pacific Northwest, our two small windows won't give enough natural light. My students give me life and I want our lighting to do the same for them. We need string lights and ceiling hooks.

From my experience, small things like this can make an outsized difference in students' ability to concentrate and feel welcome in their space.
