My Project
The purchasing of this equipment is going to greatly benefit the physical education and well being of our students here at LIS. We strongly believe in the connection between healthy body and healthy mind. All physical education supports and fosters positive social and emotional health. Students will benefit from both individual activities and team activities. All students will feel the immediate benefits of a regular exercise which will benefit them throughout the regular school day. Students will improve the human to human interaction though a variety of team sports. The pickle ball paddle will be used as the "Most Improved Player paddle" and will be given to a new student daily is displays sportsmanship and character growth. That student will use the paddle the following class. The student will be recognized at the end of each period during the unit. The basketball returns will be used to increase time on task during the basketball unit. Students will automatically fell success during a made basket when the ball is returned to them. This reinforces good shooting technique. Students will enhance their eye hand coordination with the micro ball pitching machine. This will chalange students while having fun.
