My Project
As an educator, I strongly believe in the power of engaging students through interactive and innovative methods. That's why I am thrilled to introduce my Video Games as Literature class, a unique approach to teaching literature that combines traditional texts with the immersive storytelling experiences found in video games.
This DonorsChoose project will help my students have access to a brand new line of Nintendo Switch console systems and games.
The games will allow them to explore narratives that are unique to this medium, and analyze them in my classroom. It has been a decade since the Switch consoles were released, so these updated systems will greatly benefit my students by giving them access to modern games. The case is so I can store these effectively and ensure that this investment into my classroom will last for years to come.
Through these video games, my students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, while also improving their reading comprehension and literary analysis abilities. By integrating this new medium into our curriculum, we will bridge the gap between popular culture and academic learning, making literature accessible and relevant to all students.
Your contribution to our project will directly impact the educational experiences of my students, allowing them to explore literary concepts through an interactive and engaging platform. Thank you for your generosity and support!
