My Project
My art class is bursting with talent, ideas, and dreams, but we need your help to bring them to life! Unfortunately we’re unable to obtain photoshop on the computers we have in class but we’ve been trying to make do with free alternative software. Every semester we have a fashion show that showcases student creativity through clothing design. I’ve been wanting to give my kids a real hands-on experience, but we’ve had to find ways to work around not having the tools to put their designs onto clothing. We’re asking for an iPad, heat press, and cutting machine to teach our students how to turn their digital designs into real-world creations!
With these tools we will empower our students through art, design, and brand building.
The iPad will allow our students to design logos, clothing, and other ideas that will be used for our quarterly fashion show. The heating press and cutting machine will allow a more success transfer of student designs onto their clothing. For students facing clothing insecurities, we can create unique, personalized apparel that lets them express themselves and feel proud. Plus, they’ll learn how to turn their designs into income, gaining an early introduction to entrepreneurship and brand-building at an early age.
