Nice Orchestra Students Need New Strings

Help me give my students new violin, viola, and cello strings to replace worn and broken strings. Having new and good strings is important to the creation of a good tone quality.

My Students

Our students love music. They are passionate about music and music-making. Music is what keeps them motivated to come to school. They excel in music, despite our school being situated in the midst of five federal housing projects.

Most of our students come from homes of highest poverty.

Our school has a 70% highly disadvantaged rate.

Beautiful music comes out of our orchestra room. Our students play with great passion. Music is what they excel at. Our students would never have been able to play in an orchestra were it not for the school orchestra program.

My Project

Our class project of new violin, viola, and cello strings will help our orchestra students learn from home virtually, and in school physically when in-person learning resumes. Having new strings is important for optimum sound production. The new strings will help our students to continue to practice and learn using their instruments. Broken and worn strings don’t produce the best sound. The new strings will enable our students to continue to practice and learn new music and repertoire. Our students will be able to play beautiful music using the new strings. Music will make the world a better place.
