This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are big dreamers and fun-loving kids. They come from low-income households and have very little. Many students lack basics to keep them learning and thriving.
Many of my students lack the support and financial necessities to have a great life, let alone a deserving high school experience.
It is important to me that my students have the best experience possible. I strive to do the best I can, and it's very important for me that they know that I go the extra mile to show them how much I care about them.
They understand the importance of having an education and how their success in high school influences their journey after. They are also aware that they need the right tools to succeed. As their teacher, I want to be able to provide them a positive learning experience that will lead them to be amazing and do great things.
My Project
We have all been facing an immense weight on our shoulders since this nightmare began. This pandemic has been heavy on everyone. Many have had to shift to a totally different way of learning and some are struggling while others are thriving. Imagine what it must feel now for students to learn via remote learning. As teachers, we can find it to be difficult to teach through a computer, then surely our students are struggling at times when they need one-on-one support.
Yet, our students are resilient and pushing through.
Because of this, I would love to offer my students a reward via a gift card for being exceptional during this pandemic that seems to be far from over.
