My students need a Deluxe Listening Center where they can listen and read along to storybooks and informational text. This listening center allows students to read and listen alone and in groups.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My class is ready to start reading independently! However they struggle due to language barriers. These students come from low-income families will little or no reading resources at home. My hardworking students yearn to exceed kindergarten expectations, but are hindered because they do not understand English language verbally or visually. For example, we rhyme words using pictures but they are unfamiliar with the word used for an object. I feel having a Listening Station will help my students meet their goals and overcome the obstacles in their way. Once they understand English words, their comprehension will soar! They are eager learners and seek approval for a job well done!
My school is a Title One school meaning that my students do not have as many opportunities for success as others due to their parents' income. Most of the students in my classroom do not speak English and this is hindering their ability to read and write. Recent studies have proven that Listening Stations, like the one requested, will help my students in reading and writing. This Listening Station will enhance their reading and writing skills..
Your generosity will help these students to read so they will achieve success not only in Kindergarten, but the rest of their lives.
Reading is the most important skill to learn to ensure a successful life. Without this skill my students will continue to struggle.
