it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Brenkwitz Continuation High School seniors are excited and ready to graduate! Our students are fighters who have proven their grit and resilience and who are worth investing in. Tackling and facing obstacles such as family responsibilities, trauma, housing instability, mental health challenges, and more, and still, they rise.
Many high schools throughout the nation celebrate National College Signing Day, but within Hayward Unified, we recognize that not everyone is college-bound.
Some of our students decide to enroll in the military, others choose vocational or trade schools and enter into apprenticeship programs, many of them enroll in the community college system, and other students decide to go straight to work. For that, we have decided to call our celebration "Decision Day".
I am requesting donations to give away to our students at the end of the year, typically on or around the national day of celebration. We are seeking fun items that will also help our scholars to propel ahead and support their dreams, goals, and determination to succeed. That is why I am asking for technology, such as tablets, portable/personal mini printers, and tripod stands. These items can help our leaders, artists, and future business owners explore career options that allow them to tell their story of transformation and support their future academic and career success!
