Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a Title I school, which means many of my students are at or below the poverty level. But make no mistake - these students are amazing: kind, hard working, generous - they just need a little bit of help!
Helping my students find a book series they love is one of my favorite parts of being an ELA teacher, but not having the newest book in a series is a huge EA teacher faux pas!
This project will help me add new books to my library so students can continue with a series.
The Hunger Games, one of my absolute favorite series, has had a resurgence in my classroom and I've been struggling to keep up with the demand. And with the new prequel out, students are dying to get their hands on it! Other series here need to be updated, so any help would be appreciated.
