This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 8th grade in an urban school. My students are diverse, speaking over 29 home languages, and many live at or near the poverty line.

Each year, my students struggle to buy the basic school supplies they need to be successful learners.

Please help my students by buying these binders so they can become the next generation of scientists and engineers! These will be used to organize class notes, projects, and other essential learning materials for their science class. Students will use the notes stored in these folders to complete visuals and writing assignments. They will also help when having class discussions.

Many students are often embarrassed to ask for assistance in buying school supplies. I want to remove that stigma by providing everyone with what they need for my class.
