Newton's Laws Come To Life

My students need young sci forces kit, gaussian accelerators, and an inclined plane, as well as supplies to provide hands-on learning opportunities for the motion and forces unit.

My Students

A Chinese proverb states the following: "Tell me and I'll forget. Show me, I'll remember. Involve me, and I'll understand." This quote embodies the importance of providing practical hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Many students come from low-income households.

However, they are very interested in learning about science. They look forward to the days that we have a lab or perform hands-on activities. It is easier to relate concepts with practical hands-on experiments. The mission of our school and my classroom is for each student to achieve their personal best when it comes to learning.

My Project

Newton's laws of motion can be a difficult concept to grasp. Instead of learning about the concepts in just a textbook, it is my goal to give students a chance to learn by participating in hands-on learning activities. With the learning kits, students will learn about different forces and the effects these forces have on various objects. Students will also be able to demonstrate and visualize each law with different motion and force devices.

Donations for this project will make a great difference in the educational experiences of my students.

Students are excited to participate in hands-on learning activities. By obtaining this equipment, my students will be able to see the effects of each law and relate each law to real-world situations. This unit could inspire students to view everyday objects in different ways and provoke the desire to become lifelong learners.
