My Physical Science students need a 3-way Electroscope and 5 lab kits, covering static electricity, solar energy, optics and light.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Powers's classroom raised $496
This project is fully funded
I am an 8th grade physical science teacher at a self contained public school for students who have emotional and behavioral disorders that are having difficulties functioning in the regular school settings. These students are expected to learn the same material that their peers in their community school are learning and will be assessed at the end of the school year with a state assessment test in Science.
Before coming to our school, many of my students have never participated in any science experiments or hands on projects. Some have not even had a chance to complete a full year of science instruction. I am trying to catch their interest by teaching Physical Science through as many hands on activities as possible to create background knowledge.
In order to teach hands on in Physical Science I need many different science kits to teach electricity, static energy, solar energy, photovoltaic cells, and optics.
With your help my students will be able to catch up and get ahead in science and also get back on track with behavior so that they can on day mainstream back to their community school.
