News for Kids by Kids = Equal SOARiffic Times

Help me give my students the opportunity to be able to capture the essence of what's happening around our school using digital cameras. The clipboards will help students stay organized as they write news for kids by kids!

My Students

My students are SOARiffic! As Eagles, they take pride and SOAR in what they do each day. They are eager to not only learn but to lead. With the day packed with trying to get as much instruction in, students are also ready to breathe into different projects and tasks.

News for kids, by kids!

Oakdale's Newspaper Crew is comprised of students from at least 5 different cultures who gather information to write and create a newspaper for their school aged peers.

My Project

Students will have the chance to dabble in light journalism, photography, interviewing and collaboration as they venture out around the school in search of happenings and news their peers will want to read about! Lots of practice with reading, writing and speaking will be beneficial to them.

SOARiffic Times is the title of our school newspaper that will also include a fun corner, information translated in Spanish and artwork produced in class.

We need cameras and clipboards to help us capture what's happening in pictures and stay organized. Support our nest, by contributing today! Go EAGLES!
