Help me give my students and Newcomers school supplies, 3-ring binders, sheet protectors, ink cartridges, reams of paper, bulletin board letters, border, and bulletin board paper for displaying student quality work.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Many of my Newcomers, English Language Learners do not have enough supplies and materials at home to help them improve their English language development and reading comprehension. My students need ink cartridges to print their stories. They also need supplies such as reams of paper, bulletin board letters, border, and bulletin board paper for displaying student quality work.
Modeling fluent reading daily is a great way to help students improve their English language development and reading comprehension.
The 3 ring binder notebooks will help my newcomers to keep their weekly stories in their notebooks with the sheet protectors so that they may take them home for daily practice. The sheet protectors will allow the students to keep up with their stories and word lists. Providing my ELLs the ink cartridges to print their word lists will give them the necessary tools to work with at home and encourage them to want to read every day. Having the ink cartridges will allow students to print their word lists and stories for daily reading practice. Allowing my newcomers to print their stories will help them improve their reading comprehension and enhance their English vocabulary.
