My Project

As we enter the new year and the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, we have learned by trial and error the true needs of our students. Many of our students are still not getting an adequate amount of meals throughout the day. The best way that teachers have been able to help with this is by providing a daily snack or two for each student.

Our students need their bellies full, especially since we are hitting the testing portion of our school year.

Having snacks readily available decreases grumpiness, shame, and embarrassment. In addition, it allows my students to focus on learning. Food is essential. Students who have their basic essentials met have been shown through research to be more successful in learning.
