This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will be entering 2nd grade performing on very different starting points. As an elementary ENL educator it has always been challenging due to the different language levels but the aftermath of this pandemic is leaving behind much more devastating challenges.
Math is a universal language.
Math can be translated by all languages but due to the lack of stability from the pandemic, students' math skills are not where they should be.
With this project I am asking for a supplemental workbook to help reinforce the math skills my students have in place as well as support the math skills I will be teaching to help them get closure to grade level.
Math is a life skill and it is essential our students have a strong foundation math skill set to be successful in their academic careers.
