My Project
Hands-on learning is so important for these students. The manipulatives give them concrete examples and opportunities to build those early math and reading skills that will become so important for the rest of their journey. Being able to see how these concepts apply and work will help them transfer these skills to more abstract and written work, creating knowledge that they can build upon.
While these skills are important, SEL is just as important!
Students cannot reach their full potential if their social and emotional skills are developing as well. The books, balance ball chairs, and calming corner materials will help my students focus and be present in their learning, along with regulating their emotions throughout the day.
