Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students learn every day through inquiry and multiple means of representation. They love exploring different ways to solve one problem. They think outside the box when finding solutions.
In our classroom, we like to not only learn by listening but also by seeing and doing.
My students not only learn from me, but they learn from each other and themselves. My students are curious and eager to learn! With teamwork and perseverance, they can accomplish anything they set their minds to in my class!
My Project
It is a new school year which means all new students! All my incoming students deserve fresh supplies! All the items listed in this project are supplies that will be used in our classroom daily. Right now, we do not have enough glue sticks and scissors for everyone, which causes assignments to take longer than scheduled. I want my students to have the best of the best because that is what they deserve!
The whiteboard will be used during guided reading lessons.
During these lessons, a small group of students will receive focused instruction from me that targets their reading level. The small whiteboard will be used for me to write on and reference during these private lessons.
The markers in my cart will be used on a daily basis for projects and creative work. Lastly, the folders will be used to help students stay organized. They will be responsible for taking them home and bringing them back to school every day. These folders will be for homework and other important documents that have to be returned to school. These take-home folders will teach my students responsibility.
