My students are middle schoolers at a K-8 school . They are creative, hard-working and come from all walks of life. They love learning and their enthusiasm for education is inspiring to see. Since my students are becoming teenagers it is really exciting to see how they embrace their individuality, but also how they are fearless in the face of adversity. They want to stand up for what they believe in. They want to have their voices heard against racism, sexism and prejudice. They want to make a difference. Please help them recognize the power they have to lead this next generation!
My Project
The beginning of the school year is so exciting. For my students it is their first year in middle school and they have so many changes they need to get used to including changing classes, juggling teachers and being organized.
“Work hard, be kind and amazing things will happen.” – Conan O’Brien This project is for the supplies my classroom needs to start the school year strong.
With your support my students will have new clipboards for working on the floor or outside, erasers and rags to keep our whiteboard clean, highlighters for reading and pulling out important information in both English Language Arts and Social Studies, and magnetic tape for displaying important papers and announcements. We'll have enough Kleenex to use through winter on sniffles and other teacher supplies to display classroom jobs and promote responsibility.
The more organized I can be, the better example I set for my students as they learn how to navigate middle school. They will know where supplies are and how to get what they need for any particular activity. They will learn to advocate for what they need to be successful.
