Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every September is a new start to a new school year! What better way to start the year then with brand new classroom supplies! A bright, new classroom environment makes the students feel warm and welcome!
My students are a group of special education students in a school in a low socio-economic area.
The classroom environment provides a nurturing space for students to grow and learn. Many of my students do not have the money to buy the supplies they need to succeed in school. These supplies will help create an exciting learning environment, while also providing the students the supplies they need to help them succeed.
My Project
These materials will help my students feel at home in their nurturing classroom environment. I like to decorate the classroom with bright colors to create that environment, and the bulletin board paper will help to do just that! Some of these materials will help my students to stay organized so that they do not lose the things they need. The caddies are used for each table so that they can keep their materials in a specific spot to help them stay organized. One thing that there seems to never be enough of are PENCILS! Getting an abundance of pencils to start the year will help make sure we have the pencils we need to complete the work we need to. Our brand new sharpener will help make sure that our pencils are ready to be used! The learning center pocket charts will help the students keep track of what group they are in, and what activity they will be working on! All of these materials will help my students be successful during the new school year!
Getting this project funded will help to make sure that my students have a friendly and nurturing classroom environment that will help them be the best they can be.
It will help them feel prepared for a successful school year. Every kid loves new school supplies.
