This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a loving and energetic group of kids, with a passion for learning. Our classroom is as diverse in cultures as we are in personalities, and have a large focus on building a sense of community. We are a Title I school where 91% of students qualify for free-or reduced-price lunch and 46% of students are considered English Language Learners. As a majority of my students come from low-income families, I must create an environment that is conducive to learning and give them the best shot at success!

My Project

Through this crazy whirlwind of a year, many of my classroom supplies went to visit the homes of my students and are now theirs to keep. Now my new class will need all of these amazing materials and more! These new supplies are intended to be independent so each student gets their own set of magnetic letters & numbers, pencil box, markers (multicultural and rainbow), crayons (multicultural and rainbow), whiteboards, whiteboard markers, folders, binders, playdoh and hand sanitizer!

The goal of this project is to set up every student to be successful and most importantly, safe.

This upcoming year is going to look very different, student's wont be able to share supplies and use each other's resources, every student will need an individual set. Help me, help my students!
