it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges, I look to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. From the minute they walk through the door of my classroom I focus on their potential growth.
My students are creative, clever and want to learn!
I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day by creating a positive, safe environment where they will want to continue to learn and succeed!
My Project
Teaching a young grade in a low income area, my students do not always come into school having all the skills necessary to be the best they can be. By supplying laminating sheets, expo markers, and velcro, this allows me to create engaging, hands-on, learning experiences that will help them soar! The building blocks will give them the opportunity to explore their creativity as well as learn to work together to create something.
My students are beyond capable of learning and growing to new heights and these materials will help them get that head start that they need!
By creating a hands-on environment it will allow my students to learn to express themselves as well as being able to engage them in different ways.
