My students come from a low-income, high poverty area and are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges, I look to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. From the minute they walk through the door of my classroom I focus on their potential growth. My students are creative, clever and want to learn! I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day by creating a positive, safe environment where they will want to continue to learn and succeed!
