Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My prekindergarten classroom is a place that can only be described as a place where my students learn through play. It is a place where 20 four year olds feel safe and welcomed every day. It is an environment that positively impacts my students' learning. My students are bilingual, which means that these are students that speak and are learning in Spanish, as well as English orally.

Preschool is the foundation of education, an important time in these students lives.

This is the reason, I ensure that my students are not only learning, but also enjoying their learning. I want to ensure that they are happy and want to be in our classroom.

My Project

Organization plays a significant role in teaching and learning. The hooks, work bins, and drawers help keep my students and their work well organized. My prekindergarten students rotate themselves through daily centers. My students use the pocket charts to place their sentence strip with their picture as they make their center selection. In addition, my students are in need of a reading carpet for our reading center. In a preschool classroom, having a place dedicated for students to sit and read is essential. The reading center is utilized daily by my students. They explore books they love and have will the opportunity to sit on a new comfortable carpet because of your donation.
