Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a 2nd through 5th grade autism classroom in a low income community. My students have unique sensory needs, and having neutral colored items in the room helps support them with a calming environment. The new rugs will help add some calming colors to the room!
My students also struggle with fine motor activities, and making alternative work for them is very important.
Having new glue sticks and mice for their Chromebooks will make work more accessible for my students and help them succeed in their academics.
Having gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers will also help me find adaptive resources for my students.
My students are bright and loving, and I want to ensure that I create a classroom in which they can thrive. Thank you so much for your consideration of my project!
