Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A new year this upcoming fall and a new set of students means a need for more new motivations! This list is to revamp our rewards for the new year. The smaller items like erasers and stickers are great for small rewards. This helps make my classroom management system work. Students are motivated to be safe, respectful, and responsible when they have something to work towards! They are also more motivated to work well in teams to earn something together.

The larger items like books and fidgets are to help reinforce some of our larger good habits, like our big monthly reader challenges; where they complete so many books a month at home!

Encouraging more reading inside and outside of school is a big goal for me this year with the kids. Once our students start completing their monthly reader challenges, and they see their peers earn something cool like a fidget or a book, the rest of the class picks up on that motivation and begin to work even harder!
