Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are ages 6-7 in an autism classroom. They are all excited to come to school and love trying new things. Each student is unique, and each student has lots of enthusiasm for learning!
My students attend a school where there is high poverty and everyone recieves a free lunch.
They are well cared for students and are very well behaved.
I am always reaching for the moon to provide things for my students success in the classroom.
My Project
My students often have difficulties maintaining their nervous systems. They need toys they can play with to help regulate their nervous systems. The Sensory sand I have requested is a wonderful calming resource for my students. The robot bots are a popular toy that increases focus and fine motor skills. The spirals toy is an excellent toy for students to use when they feel anxious. Everything I have chosen will help keep my students bodies regulated, and keep them on task for learning when their little bodies get stressed. We need sensory play tools!
