This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Headphones are essential every day in our classroom. Without working headphones, it is extremely difficult for my students to concentrate and complete their assigned online activities or receive specialized assignments catered to their specific learning targets.

While it would be ideal for each student to bring their own headphones, many of my students cannot afford to buy them.

This year many headphones have broken and have not been replaced. It has been difficult for students to engage in activities when they are distracted by another student's device.

My students need headphones to be successful in their learning; having them provided would be one less thing for them to worry about. In our classroom, we use headphones when engaging with digital content such as mathematics, reading and writing. Students are also required to take a reading and math diagnostic 3 times a year using their classroom devices. Providing each student with headphones will lead them deeper into learning and academic success.
