Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will be immediately used. The chapter books Bud, Not Buddy and Mighty Miss Malone will replace our current copies that are starting to fall apart, while the nonfiction books will add to the study of the time period of the 2 novels. We will be reading Bud, Not Buddy as a class in the coming weeks and having a copy for all students is important. Through this novel, my students will learn about injustice and standing up for what they believe in even when it's hard.
These books are treasured titles to add to our culturally diverse classroom.
In addition to these texts, I am asking for new plastic work folders for my students along with whiteboard markers, erasers, pencils, and Kleenex to start 2023 with everything my students need to be successful.
