Help me give my students new dance costumes including sweatpants, shorts, and fedoras, and agility training equipment including basketballs, flying discs, and more.
My students are such hardworking students. They don't get very many opportunities outside of school and so during school we give them a chance to participate in wellness, yoga, and dance classes. They have loved working in these subjects. They are given performance opportunities and always rise up to the challenge. They also choreograph their own dances if they are on dance company and perform those in front of the school and family members.
My students at the school are so creative and also competitive.
We have some that get into step competitions with the teachers and we track it all on our watches or with a step counter. Everything is their idea and we incorporate that into all of our learning lessons. We want them to learn and grow in school but also develop skills that will go beyond education.
My Project
Students have been effected by COVID-19 by not being able to have different learning experiences. With this project, we will be able to give new opportunities. A lot of our students cannot afford many extracurricular activities outside of school. I give my students these opportunities during school hours and for free.
Students will be able to have costumes for their performance standards.
The basketball team will get new basketballs. Overall, we can give the students new activities they haven't participated in before. I'm excited to see their reactions to these new opportunities. Thank you!
