This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We were able to start a new intro to video production class that will be exploring journalism through inclusive and student-centered news production. Students are using equipment and technology that they will use in an actual video production environment. However, we only have one actual camera to support the new class.
This donation will help us use an additional camera to go along with our green screen and the news.
Currently, production is limited to one main camera and students are unable to film segments in time for airing. This will allow more students to film both in the class and outside without having to wait. It will also give them exposure to how to use this equipment and to use and set up equipment in a professional environment.
This is a great opportunity for our students to be a part of local news and explore topics that are relevant to our underserved populations and community.
