This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school consists of many students bused in from another area of town. A large portion of these students are immigrants that are new to our country and are barely learning the English language. Not only do they have the challenge and task to learn the language but they are required to read and write it too!
A fabulously planned digital phonics and writing curriculum that includes visuals for these students will be a great addition for them.
Having lessons digitally is appealing to this generation of students and easy to teach whole class. Both of these programs offered on Teachers Pay Teachers are Science of Reading aligned, which studies show is the best way to teach reading! I can’t wait to get all of my students reading and writing in kindergarten. I’ve also included paper plates for crafting and apple sauce for healthy snacks! Thank you for your support!
