My Students

A typical day in our classroom consists of discussions, learning, and laughter. Technology has bridged the gap for many of my students, especially those with special needs and English Language Learners. These tablets will provide opportunities for my students to interact with the material.

My students are an extremely diverse set of learners.

While some are still learning more about the English language, others find that technology makes things seem a little less overwhelming. Students feel safer and more confident when they have the ability to produce work in a modern environment.

My Project

My students need tablets to expand our learning opportunities in the classroom. This will be especially useful for our new literacy program, The Daily Five. These tablets truly provide endless opportunities for my students with regard to all subject areas. Our new literacy program has several components including "Word Work" and "Listen To Reading" that can be accomplished by using technology. In addition, students will be able to use MobyMax to continue working on foundational skills in all subject areas.

This project will make a difference by giving my students more confidence and more opportunities to express themselves creatively.

They will be able to collaborate with one another and research various topics throughout the school year.
