Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My awesome students are in grades K-5th grade. I work with an amazing group of special education students at a Title I school on the US/MX border. Most of my students come to me for extra assistance in the small group resource classroom setting and/or receive in-class support. My students are eager to learn and excited to be independent, they thrive and benefit from diverse learning practices that meet their needs and learning styles. Many of my students are from low-income households and are English Language Learners, all of my students qualify for our free meal program. My scholars are so excited about being selected to receive the support of so many individuals and corporations through DonorsChoose.org. I am grateful that I get to work with these super troopers and looking forward to an amazing school year.

My Project

All of my students receive Special Education support, they love to read and are working so hard to be more independent.

The color printer will help to provide visual aids, print student work, create bilingual materials for our students and the echo dot will give all of our students the opportunity to use technology to help support them to be independent learners and researchers.

Each of our students has unique learning needs and styles and these materials will provide them with tools and support to help them reach their learning goals.
