This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am wishing to fund an iPad for my classroom! My students would be very excited and appreciative of having the opportunity to receive an iPad because of how easy it is to use. During distance learning, many of my students used an iPad from home and they have shared multiple times how easy it is to navigate school sites on a tablet. Currently, all students use a traditional laptop provided by the school, but I know this tablet would benefit our learning.
My students are very bright and are extremely tech-savvy; therefore, they would love to have access to a new device in class.
This would be a supplemental device we could share and I could use during small group instruction. I would also like to document our learning experiences together! It would be ideal to take pictures and videos that highlight student work and achievement in the class. The iPad would serve to create memories and excite students to participate.
With the end of the year rapidly approaching, an idea I have where we could use the iPad is recording a presentation or commercial as their final project. Students will use their creativity to implement their year-long learning and make a video with their classmates. My students would benefit from the experience because they'll practice their collaboration, planning, and technological skills.
