Help me give my students a fresh start to the school year with new tech, classroom essentials, and a rug for group instruction.

My Project

This is only my second year of teaching. I was an emergency-certified teacher last year. I was able to finish my schooling this summer and I am ready to dive into this year as a fully certified teacher! So exciting! I have learned so much, and I have so many new ideas.

I want to try and incorporate new rotations for math and literacy.

Many of the supplies will directly help with that. I also want to build strong social-emotional awareness in my classroom. With so many students lacking interactions due to covid, this is a high area of need. That's where the books and conversation starters come in. I am also excited to add a stream deck to help organize all of our daily websites, including Class Dojo, Iready, Brainpop Jr., Go Noodle and more. I would also use the stream deck to provide fun sound effects for class participation, correct answers, and songs or videos to help assist with smooth class transitions. I think it would be a game changer in classroom management. The purchase of the large class rug would give us a nicey laid out area, that allows students to have their own space, while gathering as a class for whole group instruction. I can't wait to meet my new group of 1st graders and begin to grow our class family.
