This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the greatest, and deserve the best! Unfortunately, many of them live in less than ideal circumstances, and cannot supply themselves with the necessities needed for a digital learning environment.

My classroom, having a computer at every seat, is lacking backup peripheral devices.

If I have a mouse or keyboard break, it's very difficult for me to replace that device.

As a new teacher, I have taken over a classroom from another teacher that moved departments. The teacher that moved took all of the supplies to their new classroom, leaving me with bare cupboards. I am in need of the basic supplies, such as staplers, markers, sanitizing wipes, etc. Also, where I'm having to jump from computer to computer to help students with assignments, such as website design or creating formulas and functions for spreadsheets, it would be really amazing to have a mobile standing desk where I can take my laptop with me around the classroom, and not have to carry it, then set it down, and then try to remember to pick it back up and take it with me.

Helping me supply my classroom with these items will give me a peace of mind, and help me to focus on teaching my students, rather than worrying what they need and don't have.
