Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher starting mid-year, I am faced with the challenge of inheriting classes that have experienced frequent changes in their teaching staff, with multiple substitutes filling in throughout the first half of the year. This disruption has affected the students’ learning continuity and created gaps in their academic progress and social development. To help bridge these gaps, I am initiating a donation project to provide essential classroom resources, support materials, and tools to help my students regain their focus, stay motivated, and continue building the skills they need to succeed in the remainder of the school year.

The goal of this project is to create a stable and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth.

Through donations, I plan to provide students with various learning tools. These resources will help re-establish a sense of normalcy and consistency in their educational experience while addressing individual needs that may have been overlooked during the times of substitute teachers. By creating an enriched and organized classroom, I aim to foster a positive atmosphere where my students feel valued, capable, and empowered to succeed.

Your donations will provide personal development resources to help my students regain their confidence and foster a strong sense of community within the classroom. After months of uncertainty, it is essential to rebuild their trust in their learning environment and remind them they are supported. With these resources, I will be able to provide personalized attention to each student, ensuring they get the individual help they need. Through this project, I hope to create a lasting impact that improves academic performance and cultivates resilience and enthusiasm for learning as we move forward together.
