New Teacher in Need of a Whole Group Rug! Please Help!
My students need a whole group rug (9 x12) to sit on while we learn. I am a NEW TEACHER and do not have a rug. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This project expired on October 24, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Remember when your teacher called you to the rug to hear a story? Do you remember intently listening as the story unfolded? I do and I used to love storytime! I want to give back to the students in my class. Storytime is a special time and I would love to have a rug for my students to sit on.
I am a brand new teacher!
I am SO EXCITED to begin my journey as a teacher. I graduated in May 2014 and was blessed enough to receive a kindergarten position at a wonderful country school. As with all new teachers, we often start from scratch, and a rug is one of the biggest expenses. Unfortunately, the room I am placed in does not have a rug for the students to sit on during whole group and storytime. I would greatly appreciate any donation towards a rug for my kindergarten students.
I am requesting a whole group rug (9 x 12) to sit on while we learn. The students in my kindergarten class will use the rug several times everyday. They will use it for storytime, a sitting area when exploring manipulatives, and it will also be used during whole group for math and reading instruction. Without a rug, my students will either have to stay at their desk or sit on a cold, hard floor. Please help me obtain a rug so I can create an environment that is comfortable for the kids. Thank you!
This project will make a difference in my classroom because it allows the students to get up and out of their seats while still continuing to learn.
The rug also allows for a more kid friendly environment that will making learning more fun.
