Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I have chose are things that would help me give my students have the best 1st grade experience. I have chose folders and folder holders to help manage and organize my students homework folders. I have chosen headphones to help with technology. Many of my students do not have headphone and struggle to here what they are working on when using the computer. The clip boards will be used for my students who work better on the floor and it will provide a hard surface for them to use. The chairs will help with preferential seating.

The Calming Corner will help may of my students.

For my students who struggle with expressing their emotions or if they just need a break, they will be able to use the timers and take a 1 -3 min break in the calming corner. I know this will greatly help them learn to manage their emotions and calm them. The handwriting lines, pencil grip, highlighters, dry erase markers, and dry dry erase boards will be use for each students to use so they can have a better writing experience. The stickers are going to be use for positive reinforcement and the door bell and timer will help with classroom management and help with the flow of the class.
