My Project
Although this will be my first official classroom teaching position, I worked with many of my students as a long term substitute. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming learning environment, where they are free to think out loud, share their perspectives, and build community. The supplies and materials requested will ensure that my students will have some basic supplies and classroom comforts that will foster learning via reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
When students have the tools they need to be successful, it takes the focus off of what they need and puts all of their energy, time, and focus on being engaged in the learning.
