My students are the best in the world. They have such a unique sense of humor and are always keeping me on my toes. That is why I need the supplies I am asking for.
During class time, we use a variety of ways to show our work.
White boards are a favorite. The expo markers need to be replenished because this is their favorite way to work out their problems. I have tried in the past to glue pom-pom balls on the ends to be used as erasers. They don't last long. Also a classroom set of dry board erasers would be ideal for them to correct any mistake they might have made. The students use alot of glue during the year for a variety of assignments. I'm all about mixing it up. There is always a need for pencils, tissue, and paper (of all sorts, we use alot of graph paper). These are always a high demand item.
I am asking for a table and chairs to be able to give the students that are falling behind a helping hand. I always seem to have a small group that need that extra attention. They need their own space and time to be able to grasp the concept we are working on at the time.
I like to teach some organization in class too. This is very difficult for 8th graders sometimes so I keep all their notes and study guides in folders in the back of class so they are always available for reference if needed. So the class is in need of new folders and a new folder holder to help us stay organized and make the learning environment productive.
My kids are worth every bit of time and energy that I can give.
